The Well-Formed Document Manager
The Well-Formed Document Manager (WFDM) is a content management system (CMS) that enables true multipurpose publishing.
WFDM allows you to create, edit, store, manage, search, retrieve, and export content into a variety of formats. The system accepts content from a variety of sources. Designated personnel can edit the content at any stage from any location, within the system or in application files. Any content stored in WFDM can be searched, retrieved, output to the Web, and multipurpose published. All content is held as well-formed documents, which are XML-conformant. Thus, this system can become a standard for all current, or future, publishing needs.
WFDM is developed by Scribe and Thomson-Shore, who have combined their expertise to create an intuitive, affordable system designed to meet today’s needs while ensuring future viability. The Well-Formed Document Manager can accommodate all types of books and journals, including complex, image heavy, and multilingual publications, whether from legacy or front list titles.
